Terms of Service for Thom Aster's Page
Last updated: Whenever the bastards make me change it.
1. Welcome to the Underground
This is my page. Not a forum. Not a community garden. A broadcast. You’re free to read, comment (if I allow it), and even disagree — but you're stepping into my house. Wipe your ideological boots at the door.
2. Intellectual Property
Everything I write here — from headline to full stop — is mine unless stated otherwise.
Don’t steal it.
Don’t republish it without permission.
Don’t quote it out of context unless you want me to publicly dismantle your credibility with flair.
You may link to it, reference it, share it, or print it and pin it to your fridge. That’s all fine. Just don’t pretend it’s yours.
3. Subscriptions
If you pay to subscribe:
You’re buying access, not ownership.
No refunds unless I vanish off the face of the earth or start selling crypto scams. (Neither are likely.)
Your support helps me keep the lights on and the rot exposed.
If you're here for free, that’s fine too — truth should be heard whether you can afford it or not. But don't complain about the ads you don’t see.
4. Comments (if enabled)
No bots. No brigades. No one-sentence snark replies from people who didn’t read the piece.
I moderate. Sometimes harshly. Not because I’m fragile, but because I respect signal over noise.
Constructive debate? Welcome. Trolls? Toast.
5. No Guarantees
This page is opinionated. Sometimes journalistic, sometimes satirical, always sincere.
I research. I verify. I dig. But if you act on something here and get in trouble, that’s your problem. Not mine.
This is commentary, not legal, medical, or financial advice. If you need that, go ask someone who wears a tie for a living.
6. Respect the Platform
I’m hosted on Substack. Their rules still apply. If they nuke the page, it’s not because I blinked. It’s because I poked too close to the circuit board.
You can read their official ToS here.
7. Contact
Want to reach out? Pitch something? Ask a question?
Do it respectfully. I don’t owe you a reply, but if it’s sharp, informed, or interesting — I probably will.
In summary:
This is a place for truth, thought, and uncomfortable clarity.
Respect the words, respect the space, and we’ll get along just fine.
